We’re Jon and Shamia, two Black Latinx artist besties who decided to take a chance on our art.

We created Los Degenerates as a way to channel our hopes, dreams, and desires into a dope ass community for creative misfits and by creative misfits that are “being the change they wish to see” in the world.

We reject the hustle + grind culture. We believe that inspiration can be found anywhere. We love allowing Serendipity to do her thing - with our life, our artwork, this brand.

At Los Degenerates, we love creating beautiful artworks featuring Black and brown women modeled after the type of awe-inspiring art we grew up watching as children: anime.

Our flagship character, J’Midra, lived a past life as a Dungeons and Dragons character and an original role playing character on a Charmed-based message board before she finally settled into a cozy spot as Lead Succubus for Los Degenerates., and her overall aesthetic is reminiscent of early 00’s hand-drawn anime.
